June is Scleroderma Awareness Month
Posted on Sunday 14 June 2026 Reading time: 1 minute

June is dedicated worldwide to raising awareness of scleroderma. Every year, we work extra hard to increase understanding of this rare disease and draw attention to the impact it has on the daily lives of patients and their families.
On 29 June, World Scleroderma Day, all activities and initiatives come together. Over the years, various themes have been highlighted, all with the same goal: to improve understanding of what it means to live with scleroderma and to emphasize the importance of research, knowledge development, and better treatments. Progress in these areas is essential for improving the quality of life of people affected by scleroderma.
Throughout June, the organization FESCA (Federation of European Scleroderma Associations) leads an international awareness campaign. This year's theme is:
"Hear the Unheard"
This campaign shines a light on the stories, experiences, and challenges of people living with scleroderma, voices that too often go unheard. Together, we can help ensure that these voices are seen, heard, and understood.
